Collection of Information
Personal Information
QUIC.cloud will ask you for certain “Personal Information” when you complete registration or product information request forms on the Site, including but not limited to your name, address, telephone number, email address, and credit card information. You can always choose not to provide us with the requested information, however, you may not be able to complete the transaction or use some of our products or services if you do not provide all the information requested.
For purposes of this Policy, the Site shall be the initial point of contact between you and QUIC.cloud, and will serve as the point of collection of any Personal Information you may disclose from you, your organization and your team members.
In most cases, the Personal Information collected, treated, stored and processed by QUIC.cloud does not contain any non-personally identifiable information from you (in this case called “Non-Personal Information”). There will be, however, some cases, where Personal Information may be collected from your own end-users and customers with you acting as the controller; where such Personal Information will be in turn processed by QUIC.cloud as your processor. Such Personal Information includes hosting user-uploaded content and personal data that might be transmitted through our Services. Or Website allows for a variety of configurations to treat, store, transmit and process the Personal Information of your users, depending on how your website is structured.
Therefore, as our customer, you should typically act as a data controller for your own customers, while QUIC.cloud will act as the data processor. This means you can determine if, why, and for how long said Personal Information will be stored on our systems.
For more information regarding the specific treatment of Personal Information of your end-users and customers that can be used to identify an individual, please refer to our Data Processing Agreement (DPA), available here.
Generally, through the provision of the Services, QUIC.cloud may collect, process, treat, analyze and/or temporary access various types of Information, which may include but are not limited to, both PI and Non-Personal Information:
Source | Category of Information | Examples of Information |
You | Includes information that can be used to personally identify an individual person. Accordingly, you hereby represent and warrant to QUIC.cloud that you have the necessary rights and authorizations required for the disclosure of any and all PI. |
|
You | QUIC.cloud may collect Non-Personal Information..
QUIC.cloud may associate Non-Personal Information with Personal Information if you register with the Site. |
|
Server Information | If you use one of our Software products that utilizes QUIC.cloud services such as LSCache for WordPress, we may collect certain information concerning such software (“Server Information”) and concerning the server upon which the software operates. This information is used to maintain and improve the services we offer in accordance with our agreements.
Because QUIC.cloud CDN acts as a reverse proxy and optionally also as authoritative name servers when hosting with QUIC.cloud DNS, our IP addresses or domain names may show up in WHOIS and DNS records for websites using our services. When setting up and using QUIC.cloud DNS hosting your other DNS records will be collected which may include other public server IP addresses. Because others control the information that passes through QUIC.cloud, those who use our services are responsible for the information transmitted across QUIC.cloud.
QUIC.cloud may record IP addresses as a part of normal logging. An access log and an error log may record visitor IP addresses and URLs visited. The logs are stored on the QUIC.cloud nodes and are not transferred to or accessed by QUIC.cloud employees in any way, except as necessary in providing routine technical support or systems maintenance. Such logs are removed periodically from the file system. The general location of an IP address may be used by QUIC.cloud Services to correspond to which node might be optimal for Customers or End Users. |
Server Information may also include information collected from you by QUIC.cloud in the event that you request technical support services including without limitation usernames / passwords necessary to log in to SSH, the root directory of the server upon which you installed the LiteSpeed software and any affected accounts including email accounts, control panel accounts, MySQL accounts, CMS accounts and other accounts. |
Support Services | Sometimes, when you request technical support, QUIC.cloud may ask for login credentials to various areas of your site. You may refuse to share such credentials, however refusal may impact QUIC.cloud’s ability to provide the requested support services. | Upon completion of a support ticket, QUIC.cloud will keep your login credentials accessible only as long as required by our support team. Our third party support platforms may store your PI for another term.. |
Content Delivery Network Caching Services | QUIC.cloud CDN may potentially store a duplicate copy of every web page on display on your site. The pages are stored on the QUIC.cloud nodes where QUIC.cloud server software is installed and are not transferred to or accessed by QUIC.cloud employees in any way, except as necessary in providing routine technical support or systems maintenance. | All cache files are temporary, and may easily be purged before their natural expiration, if necessary, via a Flush All CDN Cache command in the my.quic.cloud dashboard. It is up to individual site administrators to come up with their own cache expiration rules. |
Aggregated Statistics | We may receive aggregated, Non-Personal Information from advertisers or publishers, along with aggregate statistics, metrics, and other reports about the performance of their ads or content in your my.quic.cloud account. We may share aggregated anonymized or de-identified information with third parties for research, marketing, analytics, and other purposes. |
|
Social Login Services | You can use sign-in services such as Google, Facebook and Twitter to sign into the my.quic.cloud dashboard. You will see links to their privacy policies if you start to use them. QUIC.cloud only needs your email for service notification purposes and for registration and sign-in authentication to our websites including, but not limited to: quic.cloud, www.quic.cloud, my.quic.cloud. Data usage is outlined below. For more information, please read the terms and policies of such third party platforms. Please take into account that such third party platforms may in turn disclose and share your Personal Information according to their own rules, guidelines and policies. Any changes in such platform’s functionalities will be the sole and final responsibility of the social media network. |
|
Financial Information | If you sign up for one of our paid Services options you must provide payment and billing information. In such a case, our third party payment processors will execute, manage and process payments encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our Site and its service providers.
We do not store your payment processing information, such as credit card, but we will collect your billing address and transmit your payment method information to our payment processing platform. |
|
Domain Name Service (“DNS”) | If you use our DNS Zone service (for domains registered somewhere else), we may use the WHOIS Protocol and other available sources to fetch and store data related to your domain as necessary for features of our DNS Zone service. |
|
Other Site Optimization Services.
In addition to caching, our WordPress plug-in has features that optimize your site’s data externally, namely the Image Optimization, CSS Optimization, Low Quality Image Placeholder, and Viewport Images services. When you choose to use those services, images or CSS are transmitted to a remote QUIC.cloud server, processed, and then transmitted back for use on your site.
QUIC.cloud keeps copies of those optimized images or CSS for 7 days (in case of network stability issues) and then permanently deletes them. Image previews, and URLs of recent optimization requests are available in the my.quic.cloud dashboard during the month in which they were requested and then are permanently deleted.
Similarly, the WordPress plug-in has a Reporting feature whereby a site owner can transmit an environment report to our server so that we may better provide technical support.
None of these features collect any visitor data. Only server and site data are involved.
Any user data encountered by QUIC.cloud is kept strictly confidential. We never provide your support ticket information to any third party without your explicit consent.

Thus, we may investigate suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person and illegal activities, or use PI as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.
You will receive notice in the form of modifications to this Policy when information about you might go to third parties other than as described in this Policy, and you always have the opportunity to contact us as set forth below if you do not wish your information to go to third parties.
